Abstract This article presents the experimental charging and discharging characteristics of two organic phase change materials (PCMs) for application cold thermal energy storage. Lauryl alcohol butyl stearate were encapsulated in rectangular encapsulation study was carried out vapor compression refrigeration system. The experiment also conducted different masses PCMs result showed that lauryl shows stable with less temperature variation 3.5°C during which is not evidenced stearate.
